2020 was called a dumpster fire. It was and I have proof...although this post comes a month and a half too late for 2020.
A perk (or some could consider a downfall) of living in the city is that you see some interesting things. I have a few city life musings that I may have to compile into a blog post one day. Tonight I expanded my story collection with a dumpster fire!
Disclaimer: There was never any real safety concern here. I am sharing to show the firefighters in action and their fast response. It was interesting to watch the process and (fortunately) not something you see everyday.
As I watched, I could not help chuckling to myself about how "dumpster fire" was used so often to describe 2020. The modern lingo "dumpster fire" means a colossal mess, often created by incompetence (Urban Dictionary). I thought "well, isn't this fitting".
Shout out to the Seattle Fire Department for doing their part to make sure 2021 is not a dumpster fire. Thank you!
